No notifications?

Ive been set up with onstar and using this app for about 2 weeks. So far so good. 2 complaints though.
1. Its slow! By the time it unlocks the car or starts it, Im already there.
2. I can not get it to notify me of status updates. Charge complete, charge interrupted. Keeps asking for valid email and phone number. Even though theyre both in my account.
Any ideas guys?
