OnStar RemoteLink App Reviews

Mostly an ok app, but too frequently becomes completely unusable. Clicking on the remote link map to view vehicle location works about 2% of the time. The other 98% the app disappears. Simply vanishes.

Great app work better than any other app I have.

Last update broke OnStar notification. Unable to enter email or cell phone number.

I own a 2015 GMC Sierra and I think this app is pretty awesome. No issues with it but Id make one improvement. Have a timer on the remote start that counts down from 10 minutes and alerts your device when the engine turns off.

To continue to compete, I hope to see an Apple Watch feature for the remote start. Come on ladies and gentlemen. :) make us proud.

App works fine for the most part and it does what it does, the only downside to Onstar service there is option to cancel your service online, the force you to talk to a person so that person can waste your time trying to keep your business and sell you more crap

The app operates as advertised; however, there needs to be an Apple Watch app already. Also, the apps appearance can use an update...the look is a little dated.

Works, but needs an update to support larger screens and Apple Watch. Siri integration would be cool, too.

I enter my phone number and keep on saying not valid number. I enter the same number on my Andriod phone, it is fine.

The app itself works fine. Clean interface, responds pretty quickly considering it has to go thru the Onstar network and all. I really wish it had a companion watch app. Yes thats how lazy I am when it comes to starting or locking/unlocking my car. I want to be able to do it from my watch. Get on this.

So, maybe Im lucky but Ive used this app for three vehicles now and have never had a problem. Sometimes its slower than others but it still works! Ive had it on an 11 Silverado, an 11 Suburban and now a 16 Tahoe. Maybe these vehicles work better than others but....I kinda doubt it. And for the fool who said that they sent directions from this app to their vehicle and then cancelled OnStar Navigation so now it doesnt work and they dont understand why because they dont use OnStar Navigation so they shouldnt have to pay extra for it.....if you send directions from this app to your vehicle for directions, you are using OnStar Navigation. I think this person needs to delete the app and trade in for a 90s model Civic. Probably be safer for all of us. App works great for me and I know how to work it. If youre not a moron, youll love it!

Ive been set up with onstar and using this app for about 2 weeks. So far so good. 2 complaints though. 1. Its slow! By the time it unlocks the car or starts it, Im already there. 2. I can not get it to notify me of status updates. Charge complete, charge interrupted. Keeps asking for valid email and phone number. Even though theyre both in my account. Any ideas guys?

I like the app when it works. Currently though, every time I try to check on the location of my vehicle the app closes out on me. Was working fine and then just stopped working (closing out) today.

Worked fine until phone upgrade to ios 9.3.1. Now it doesnt work on my phone or Ipad.

Works well enough for remote start and some stats but lacking some key features compared to a similar app I have for my Volvo. I’d like to see Touch ID incorporated instead of having to put in a 4 digit code, 3D Touch to get to key functions faster, a driving log (trip information), display current odometer, and a feedback function within the app.

App only works when it wants. 95% of the time, I cant do anything with it. The map isnt that accurate when locating the vehicle. Cant send directions to the truck, cant unlock and lock doors, cant remote start, cant see vehicle status and cant see how much data I have left of the trucks hot spot. When it does work? It pulls up data from about 3 to four days prior. Yes, the truck is always parked where it gets plenty of satellite signal.

Great app to start vehicle and send directions to dash... Could really be amazing with a Apple Watch app...

My wife and I use this app a lot. Its always worked great!
